Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) Scheme
MDA scheme comes under the Foreign Trade Policy and was started in the year 2004, which was revised in the year 2006. In order to facilitate various measures being undertaken to stimulate and diversify the country’s export trade, MDA scheme operates under the Department of Commerce. The scheme supports the following export promotion activities:
• Assist exporters in their participation in approved EPC/Trade Promotion Organization led export promotion events abroad.
• Focus export promotion programmes in specific regions abroad like FOCUS (LAC), Focus (AFRICA), Focus (CIS) and Focus (ASEAN +2) Programmes.
Help with residual essential activities connected with marketing promotion efforts abroad
• Assist Export Promotion Council (EPCs) to undertake export promotion activities for their product(s) and commodities.
• Assist approved organization/trade bodies in undertaking exclusive nonrecurring innovative activities connected with export promotion efforts for their members.
